Jispa

Located in the Lahaul and Spiti district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, at an elevation of 10,500 feet on the banks of river Bhaga, Jispa is a serene landscape dotted with mud houses and chortens. It is 20 kilometers away from Keylong. The village boasts of 78 households, a helipad, a post office, a hotel, a mountaineer's hut, a campground and a monastery. Travelers going to Leh often halt here for night stay. It will soon come up with two new monasteries- Yarji and Photang- where his holiness Dalai Lama gave the Kal Chakra sermon to the Buddhists residing in different parts of the world.
